You may remember us reporting on how Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red had been rated in Brazil and was revealed that the game would contain a lot of sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll. But now the ESRB has revealed its rating on the game and with it comes a good deal of information about the content within the game.

Rated M for mature, Cyberpunk 2077 has been labeled to include blood, violence, nudity, naughty words, sex, and drugs and alcohol. Basically everything you probably expected from the game really. But what about specifics?

Players will be able to battle both humans and cybernetically enhanced enemies. They'll be able to make use of different types of firearms as well as melee weapons.  Dismemberment is present in the game, which if you remember The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you can swipe an enemy's head off. You, as the player will be subjected to hearing cries of pain, and witness blood splatter effects. There are mutilated corpses in some locations, some with their chest ripped open with you being able to get up close and look at the exposed organs.

It's described that one quest will find the player helping a character to hammer nails through their hands and feet...for some reason. You'll be subject to breasts, buttocks, and genitalia. However, while players will have to select a gender to start, the option to customize their genitalia is present, allowing different "sizes and combinations."

Players can choose to engage in sexual activities with other main characters or prostitutes which seem to be accompanied by a brief sex scene from a first-person perspective. The game features fictional drugs as well, and the player can drink alcohol until the screen distorts. Drunk driving is also possible, but it isn't detailed if you wind up swerving or if it's just the distortion effect.

So, with all of this with the addition of some pretty bad no-no words, players can expect to be part of a very violent, adult world of the future. It's also detailed that players will be able to purchase in-game purchases. To be honest, most of the ESRB descriptions we've basically seen in action, have a look at the embedded deep dive video above which shows quite a fair bit of what was described.

You can pick Cyberpunk 2077 up to pre-order on Amazon, it'll be heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One later this year on September 17. We'll also likely see more from the game at the Summer Game Fest in June.
