Cyberpunk 2077 Instagram Gives a Sneak Peek at the Game’s Factions
Take a look at the gangs and corporations that make up the world of Cyberpunk 2077 via the game's official Instagram page.
CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 is quickly approaching its September release date, and the studio is slowly rolling out more details about its massive title. While we have a huge event to look forward to in June, the game’s Instagram page recently added some fun new info. The page has tons of background information on the factions, gangs, and corporations that make up the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Check out one of the many below.

Animals – an aggressive street-fighting gang from west Pacifica that eschews the use of traditional cyberware. Instead, they use ultra testosterone and animal supplements (like growth hormones). They’re animalistic at heart, and dangerously proud of who they are. #Cyberpunk2077
From the ultra-aggressive Animals to cyber-obsessed Maelstrom, there is so much great background info here. Personally, I can’t wait to find out more about the 6th Street gang and the Voodoo Boys. And, getting to see the Tyger Claws with their glowing Yakuza-like tattoos riding cyber street bikes will be a treat. Like many, I was already excited to check Cyberpunk 2077 out this fall. Things like this only push my interest up. These little teases of the gangs are neat; however, I just want to explore them with some real depth. That only happens when the game releases.
Obviously, the hype is high for Cyberpunk 2077. That’s a fact pretty much everyone can agree on. However, one of my big questions has always been can CD Projekt Red capture the highs of their story-telling from The Witcher 3 and spread it across the entire game. Quests like the Bloody Baron felt like a revelation in side quest design. However, they struggled to consistently meet that same bar of quality over the full game. Seeing how fleshed some of these factions seem to be in Cyberpunk gives me some confidence that they have a shot to clear that same bar much more often. If they can pull it off, Cyberpunk 2077 could be an all-time classic.
Cyberpunk 2077 releases September 17 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X once those consoles launch. The team at CD Projekt Red is holding a big event next month, so check back then for more information.
