Among the platforms that Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release upon later this year, Google's streaming platform, Stadia, is one of the locations in which the game will be arriving on. However, according to some recently released information courtesy of CD Projekt Red, it seems as though the Stadia iteration of Cyberpunk won't be releasing until after other versions of the title launch.

Seen in a new press release from CD Projekt Red, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077 reiterated that the game is set to release on September 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. However, Stadia was singled out apart from the other versions and was said to release at a later date in the year instead.

"By the end of the year the game will also make its debut on Google Stadia," CD Projekt Red wrote in the press release. No additional information was provided about the Stadia version, but CD Projekt Red said that more details will be given at a later date.

Honestly, seeing as how Google Stadia has somewhat been left out in the cold this year when it comes to major releases, it's not a huge shock to see that CD Projekt Red clearly isn't prioritizing getting Cyberpunk 2077 out the door on the platform at the same time as other versions of the game. Between the four platforms that the game is set to release upon, Stadia definitely has the smallest user base, meaning that the developer can take its time to push out this iteration if needed. Still, for those that are disappointed by this news, the fact that the title will still be hitting Stadia before the end of 2020 is a positive sign. The gap between releases surely won't be a vast one, if I had to imagine.

While it has been awhile since we last saw Cyberpunk 2077 in action, that's about to change in a few short weeks. CD Projekt Red is set to hold a new stream for the game later this month that will transpire on June 25. We'll share all of the latest news about the futuristic sci-fi RPG at that time here on DualShockers, so stay tuned.
