Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Book Announced

Cyberpunk 2077 Lore Book Announced

Just in time for Cyberpunk 2077's April 2020 release date, Dark Horse Comics will be releasing a book that explores its world and characters.

Following a strong E3 showing which included a release date announcement and actor Keanu Reeves’ involvement, the excitement for Cyberpunk 2077 is at an all-time high. To add more fuel to the fire, Dark Horse Comics has partnered with developer CD Projekt Red to release a new book called The World of Cyberpunk 2077 which will launch on April 21, 2020.

The hardcover book will be 200 pages long and it’s currently up for preorder on Amazon. Additionally, it’ll be available on Kindle for $19.99. The book will let readers learn more about the characters and history in the game.

Here’s a description of the book:

“Step into the year 2077, a world dotted with dystopian metropoles where violence, oppression, and cyberware aren’t just common–they’re necessary tools to get ahead. Delve into incisive lore to discover how the economic decline of the United States created a crippling dependence on devious corporations and birthed the Free State of California. Explore the various districts, gangs, and history of Night City. Learn all there is to know about the technology of tomorrow and research the cybernetics, weapons, and vehicles of Cyberpunk 2077.”

Similar to this, Dark Horse Comics partnered with CD Projekt Red on a book in 2015 dedicated to The Witcher games. Additionally, Dark Horse has a history of collaborating with companies such as PlayStation, Microsoft, and Bethesda to release art books dedicated to their games.

Cyberpunk 2077 launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16, 2020. While we wait for it to come out, The Witcher 3 is available now and it’ll come to the Nintendo Switch later this year.
