With Cyberpunk 2077's messy launch, some sources indicated that CDPR's focus has completely shifted to fixing the technical issues on all platforms, especially PS4 and Xbox One, rather than working on the multiplayer section of the game. However, it seems some of the multiplayer codes have already been implemented into the current version of the game as new searches from data miners have apparently led to some details about the missions and modes that could be played in the multiplayer mode. Of course, until this information is officially confirmed, take it with a pinch of salt for now.

According to what an anonymous source has found from the executable file of Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, there are some multiplayer-related codes that refer to two kinds of game modes, including Heists and Deathmatch. Allegedly, the Heist mode in the multiplayer section features some objective-based missions that players should accomplish together, more like Grand Theft Auto Online's Heist missions. Check out some of the functions that have been discovered from the game's PC files below:

Over a month after its rough launch in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 still has some major technical issues on the last-gen consoles, however, with the developer promising to wipe most of the problems out with two big patches in January and February this year, there's now a temporary peace between CD Projekt RED and the disappointed community of the game on last-gen consoles.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available on PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Stadia, and PC. The PS4 version of the game has been pulled from the PlayStation store until it receives some quality-of-life improvements, but you can still get it physically.
