Cyberpunk 2077 New Screenshot Shows Off Night City's Slums
Get a look at the darker side of the world of Cyberpunk 2077 in this latest pic.
While we’re still a way out from the release of Cyberpunk 2077, that hasn’t prevented CD Projekt Red from continuing to release new (albeit small) glimpses of the game.
Today, the developer released a new image from the game today via the official Cyberpunk Twitter account and it offers a look at one of the shadier aspects of the world of Night City. The image features the caption, “Arriving at destination,” and shows what looks to be V’s car sitting in one of the slums of the city. We see a few various people standing about in the screenshot along with a burning car in the background. The prominent location in the image also seems to be that of The Rinda Hotel, which may end up being a key location from the game.

In my own estimation, a lot of what we’ve been shown of Cyberpunk 2077 so far hasn’t highlighted this darker, more gruff aspect of the city. While Night City looks to be quite dark, much of what we’ve seen of the game so far has shown the bright, flashy aspects of the town. It’s nice to know though that the town will also contain bleak-looking locales like this, too.
In other Cyberpunk 2077 news, CD Projekt Red also recently revealed more details about the Collector’s Edition of the game as well. Specifically, we got a deeper look at the statue that will be coming with the game. If you’d like to check out that video, you can find it here.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release next year on April 16, 2020, for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
