Cyberpunk 2077’s Reversible Cover Art Showcases Female V

Get a look at Cyberpunk 2077's latest piece of key art featuring the female version of the protagonist, V.

Even though it won’t be coming out next month like it was originally planned to, CD Projekt Red recently gave fans a slight glimpse at yet another small taste of what to expect from Cyberpunk 2077 when it arrives later this year.

To coincide with International Women’s Day, CD Projekt Red took to the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account and revealed a new piece of key art which features the female iteration of the game’s main protagonist, V. If you didn’t already know, Cyberpunk 2077 lets you create your own version of V from the ground up letting you manage everything from your gender to the type of hairstyle you’ll rock. Up until now, the male iteration of V has been the one shown on most of the marketing materials for Cyberpunk 2077, but now the female version is getting her time in the spotlight.

Not only is this just a variant of the game’s main piece of key art, though, CD Projekt Red also confirmed that this image will also be contained on the game’s box art. While the default box art for Cyberpunk 2077 will feature the male version of V, the cover art will be reversible and the other side will contain this new image featuring the female model. Other game franchises in the past, most notably that of Mass Effect, have also done something similar to this in the past.

In other recent Cyberpunk 2077 news, it was unveiled that those who end up purchasing the game on Xbox One will then be able to have their game upgraded on the Xbox Series X for free. CD Projekt Red didn’t say when the Xbox Series X upgraded version of the game might be rolling out, but it’s definitely good to see that games like Cyberpunk 2077 that are releasing near the end of this generation might be making a seamless transition to next-gen platforms. Plans for the Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 haven’t been announced just yet, but then again, any information regarding the PS5 hasn’t really been divulged in recent months.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to launch on Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Stadia later this year on September 17, 2020. Stay tuned in the coming months as we should be getting a whole lot more information about one of this year’s most-anticipated releases as we get closer September.
