CD Projekt Red Releases New Screenshots for Cyberpunk 2077
The latest screenshots for Cyberpunk 2077 are more reflective of what CD Projekt has been showing of the game in private sessions.
Well, CD Projekt Red said we’d be getting something Cyberpunk 2077 related today and they weren’t lying, even if what was revealed might not have been as big as I’m sure some may have hoped.
CD Projekt released four new screenshots for Cyberpunk 2077 today to coincide with Gamescom 2018. While it might not be the gameplay reveal that I know so many have wanted, these images are pretty rad nonetheless and give you a better idea of the tone that the game is going for.
As someone who has seen the private demo of Cyberpunk 2077 that has been shown, I can tell you that these images are far more akin to what I have seen compared to the previously released screenshots. In fact, all of the screenshots other than the one with the three men standing over someone with a gun pointed downward seem to be lifted directly from the gameplay demo. It might not be much, but this is technically the public’s first glimpse at some sequences from the much-talked-about gameplay reveal.
This is just conjecture on my part, but I honestly would be surprised if CD Projekt Red ends up releasing that demo footage to the public any time soon, so these screenshots might just have to suffice for the moment. We’ll no doubt end up getting some publicly released gameplay footage at some point, but considering Cyberpunk 2077 still doesn’t have a release date or window, it’s rather hard to peg when that might finally happen.
