If you missed CD Projekt Red’s ‘Special Event’ presentation from yesterday you won’t have learned of several details regarding the developer’s new RPG project, inspired by Mike Pondsmith’s pen & paper RPG, officially named Cyberpunk 2077.

This second video taken from the ‘Special Event’ features CD Projekt Red founder, Marcin Iwiński, who is joined by Mike Pondsmith – the creator of the pen & paper RPG serving as the inspiration for Cyberpunk 2077. The two men discuss the development and vision for the game, outlining several of its key features, which are listed below.
- Ambitious RPG for mature audiences, set in the corrupt and tech-advanced world of the year 2077.
- Gripping multi-thread story taking place in the sandbox environment of the vivid detailed night city.
- Advanced RPG mechanics based on the pen & paper RPG system upgraded to the 2077 setting.
- Gigantic arsenal of weapons, upgrades, implants and cool high-tech gadgets – new equipment adopted to reflect over 50 years of mankind progress.
CD Projekt Red did not reveal a release date for the game, explaining that Cyberpunk 2077 is still in early development.
