Cyberpunk 2077 Unofficial Third-Person Mod Is Now Available for Download
Thanks to a new work-in-progress mod, you can now play Cyberpunk 2077 in a third-person view, though it still needs a lot of tweaks.
Last year, modders revealed a prototype version of a third-person view mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that looked nice, but buggy. Now, the mod is available for download for all PC players. First of all, you should keep in mind that the mod is still a work-in-progress thing and you may face some bugs or glitches with V’s animations that have been originally designed for a first-person view. However, the modder behind this mod has promised to tweak the animations and make them look more realistic for a better experience.
With this unofficial mod, you will get four different third-person views in the game that simply differ from each other in case of the camera’s distance from your character, similar to most of the third-person games. Currently, the biggest problem with the mod comes up when you try to shoot at enemies. While the aiming HUD doesn’t seem quite good, your character starts acting weirdly when you aim and move.
Also, for some players, the third-person view doesn’t render V’s head, which is frustrating. That being said, it’s an easy-to-install mod that’s worth trying out for once if you are so eager to see what it’s like to roam in Night City from a third-person perspective.
Currently, PC is the best platform for playing Cyberpunk 2077, but even it has its own bugs and glitches. Hotfix 1.06 is the latest update for the game that was rolled out later last year. CD Project RED has promised to deliver two big patches in January and February this year to make the game playable on last-gen consoles as well. Also, sometime this year, the game will receive enhancement updates on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S which make it look much better and prettier on 9th-gen consoles.
CD Projekt Red has no specific details regarding its post-launch DLC, but the free content will be coming sometime in early 2021. Cyberpunk 2077 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Stadia. You can read our review here.
