Today's issue of Weekly Famitsu included a spread revealing Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz, that was previously teased with no information.

The game is a prequel of the Tantei Jinguji Saburo series, known in the west as Jake Hunter Detective Story.

The protagonist isn't Saburo Jinguji/Jake Hunter, but his grandfather, Keisuke Jinguji, and it'll be set in New York City. The game is coming for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Japan in 2018. Of course, no western release has been announced yet.

Interestingly, the game comes with some relevant new mechanics compared to the Jake Hunter series. You can change your "stance" when interacting with a character, in order to extract information more effectively by using the appropriate stance. You can visualize Keisuke Jinguji's "tree of thought" by putting information together and then harvesting metaphorical fruits to get closer to the solution of a mystery.

Last, but not least, you can investigate a crime scene in full 360 degrees. Some of the elements you could find can add a branch to the tree of thought, and depending on your stance the things you see can also change.

You can check out the first screenshots below, keeping in mind that they're from magazine scans, so the quality is far from perfect.
