Today, Arc System Works published the opening sequence for Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz. The mystery-solving game is a prequel of the Tantei Jinguji Saburo series, also known as Jake Hunter Detective Story in the west.

The opening sequence shows protagonist Keisuke Jinguji in New York, with other new characters currently unnamed. Keisuke is Saburo Jinguji/Jake Hunter's grandfather. Overall it's pretty minimalistic, with barely any animation, but this is usually the case for opening sequences of Japanese visual novel-like games like Daedalus.

You can watch the opening animation below. You can also check out the limited edition and first trailer for the game, the first direct-feed screenshots, and read more about its story and systems here.

Daedalus: The Awakening of Golden Jazz releases in Japan for PC, Switch and PS4 on December 13th. The game has no western release planned yet.
