During a livestream from Gamescom 2018, Nintendo showcased some brand new gameplay of the upcoming mecha game Daemon X Machina.

we get to see a few interesting situations, including gameplay as an “outer.” Basically, there are sections of the game in which we leave our Arsenal and we have to move around on foot. In this case the player is tasked with infiltrating an enemy base and steal an Arsenal.

We also get to see some interesting characters and a few more missions, including one fought indoors, which changes things quite a bit in terms of mobility.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s being created by a star-spangled cast: at the helm is Armored Core 2 and 3 Producer Kenichiro Tsukuda,  joined by No More Heroes and Fire Emblem character designer Yusuke Kozaki. Yet, the biggest name is Shoji Kawamori, who didn’t only work on the Armored Core series but also designed hundreds of mecha for anime series like Macross.

You can check it out below. If you want to see more, you can check out the latest trailerthe announcement trailer, more gameplay, and the first screenshots.

The game will come exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
