Spike Chunsoft announced big celebrations for Danganronpa will be happening for its tenth anniversary in 2020. Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, released in Japan on November 25, 2010, gained a sizable fandom worldwide thanks to fan-translations. The game later released in the west. In a nutshell, Danganronpa, written by Kazutaka Kodaka, feature a bunch of “Ultimate” teens stuck together in a play-or-die situation. Monokuma, the franchise’s bear mascot, orchestrates the death games sucking in the characters.

Since then, the four Danganronpa games now sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide. Kazutaka Kodaka was funnily surprised on Twitter his series actually sold this much.  Danganronpa also has anime and manga adaptations. Moreover, it received multiple stage play adaptations in Japan.
