The Danganronpa series is full of surprises, during our time with the newest installment Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony it's possible that we discovered a tease for the future of the series, and it might be another spin-off.

During the first investigation scene in Chapter 1 there are some movie posters found off to the side of one of the rooms. If you choose to investigate these posters, two characters, Kaeda Akamatsu and Shuichi Saihara, comment on their finding.

Evidently, the poster if for a video game called "Ultra Despair Girls 2" and it's apparently, "Coming soon". This is a reference to the spin-off game, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls where the visual novel series takes a stab at the third person shooter genre. Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is set between the events of Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc and Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and features an original story with multiple endings.

However, as the characters discuss the posters further, Shuichi asks, "Is this one of Monokuma's pranks?" in which Kaede replies, "Probably". So we will file this under a possibility until an official announcement is made by Spike Chunsoft.

Although if this were true, then it would make sense as to why Spike Chunsoft and NISA brought the entire series, which were originally Vita exclusives, to the PlayStation 4 and PC this past June.
