According to reports, developer Dark Energy Digital is preparing to go the way of the dodo. The studio is most famous for the creation of Hydrophobia, a unique if poorly reviewed action adventure game that utilized detailed water physics. Closing has apparently been the imminent future for the developer ever since Hydrophobia performed poorly on Xbox Live. All assets and IP that belong(ed) to Dark Energy are being transferred to the upstart Dark Energy Publishing, which was created by DED founders Pete and Deborah Jones, and technical director Gary Leach. There's been no official word from the devs on this yet, but we'll have answers as they become available.
