cRPGs have seen a revitalization in recent years thanks to game's like Pillars of Eternity, which is coming to Nintendo Switch soon. As such, it is becoming an interesting genre for developers, like Tower of Time's Event Horizon, to tackle. Today, the developer unveiled its cRPG Dark Envoy with an awesome, stylish trailer that you can check out below:

Even though that trailer does not show much in terms of gameplay, Event Horizon did describe what players can expect. Dark Envoy is planning to stand out within the cRPG crowd thanks to its focus on blending more traditional real time movement and turn-based mechanics with movement controls that are not restrictive and a non-linear structure. For fans of the genre, Event Horizon says that Dark Envoy can be best described as a unique mix of Dragon Age, Divinity: Original Sin, FTL, Mass Effect, and XCOM. If you are a fan of cRPGs, Dark Envoy certainly seems like a game that should be on your radar.

You can see the game's first screenshots below to get a better idea of how it actually players. Dark Envoy is going to release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One sometime in the second half of 2019.
