Dark Souls (and its predecessor, Demon's Souls) was known for its intense and brutal level of difficulty, and with its sequel well on its way for release next March, that is sure to be just the case for those looking for a challenging game. Luckily though, Sony has announced that registration has begun for those looking to try out the difficulty of Dark Souls 2 a little bit early.

On the European PlayStation Blog, Sony has details on registering for the Dark Souls 2 beta, where players can easily just download a registration ticket right from the PlayStation Store (most easily found in the "Games" section, in "Latest Releases") to sign-up for beta access. The beta will be made available in two waves for North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia: the first round of beta access will start on October 12th, followed by a second round beginning on October 27th. You can also access the beta ticket registration here to add to your PS3 queue.

Dark Souls 2 will be released on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on March 14, 2014.
