It appears as if From Software's Dark Souls 3 has hit an all-new milestone after the official Twitter account announced that 10 million units have been sold worldwide. The game originally sold over 3 million units back in 2016, a month after its initial release, marking it as one of Bandai Namco's fastest-selling games.Featuring the usual dark, grim art style of Dark Souls, the Twitter post reads, "10 million units worldwide. Thank you." with the Dark Souls 3 logo at the bottom. The overall total surpasses the 2015 sales of the Dark Souls series which saw just over 8 million units sold.

Dark Souls 3 was From Software's last journey into the Dark Souls universe with Sekiro: Shadow's Die Twice being the next title from the studio. This title saw 3.8 million units sold as of last year. The next title from the studio is supposed to be Elden Ring, and while not much is known about it, we were hoping to see something at the recent Xbox Series X event. We didn't, and we got sad.

Dark Souls 3 selling 10 million is certainly an incredible achievement for From Software, and it seems as if this is just based on the base game. There are three expansions available such as Ashes of Ariandel. The game is available for PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
