From Software just released a free Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin PS4 theme on the Japanese PSN. The only caveat is that a local PlayStation Plus account is required to get it, as the theme is exclusive for subscribers.

You can find it here. As usual, you need to log into your Japanese PSN account, or at least use an incognito window or log out from your western account in order to see the correct link.

I bet some may be considering subscribing to the Japanese PSN just for this, but the theme is static and has no custom music. You can see the relevant screenshots above and below.

While the Japanese PlayStation Plus includes a lot of awesome goodies, it's doubtful that this theme alone is worth the subscription, especially since it could be released in the west sooner or later.
