Dark Souls III's first DLC Ashes of Ariandel is getting close to its release on October 25th, and today Bandai Namco provided DualShockers with some spiffy gameplay footage.

Ashes of Ariandel will be the first of two expansions (the second will come in early 2017), and during a presentation in Tokyo, Director Hidetaka Miyazaki elaborated on the contents of the DLC.

The DLC will come with a new map, new weapons, armor, enemies and spells, on top of a stage created exclusively for PvP. The two new DLCs will share the same overarching theme, and that's pretty much independent from that of the original game.

The DLC will also bring some new situations in terms of gameplay, with improved boss battle, emphasizing different elements compared to Dark Souls III.

There will be more than 15 new weapons, and players will be allowed to actually throw spears at the enemies.
