Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition Confirmed for PS4

Darksiders 2: Definitive Edition has been confirmed to be coming to the PS4 by the games publisher, Nordic Games. This comes just days after the re-master was spotted on Amazon, fueling speculation that a next-gen upgrade was in the works.

At the moment only the PS4 version has been confirmed by Nordic Games, but it would seem likely that an Xbox One upgrade would follow suit. More versions equals more money after all.

Whilst not everybody is a big fan of last-gen games re-releasing on PS4 and Xbox One, it’s nice to have the option to play the top games of the last decade in a superior fashion. Just look at GTA V, The Last of Us: Remastered and Tomb Raider as prime examples of what can be done with a bit more ‘oomph.’

If you never got around to playing Darksiders 2 on the PS3 or Xbox 360 but you find yourself with a PS4 or Xbox One and a lingering interest in the game, it may be worth keeping an eye out for this one. Darksiders 2 received critical acclaim when it released, so it can only be better on the PS4 and Xbox One. Hopefully.
