Yesterday, it leaked that Darksiders: Warmastered Edition was planned to soon be releasing on the Nintendo Switch. Today, THQ Nordic has made the announcement official and in the process has divulged the additional details that we were still unaware of during yesterday's writing.

For starters, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be launching on Switch in a little over two months. The game's release date is April 2, 2019 and it will be coming to both retail stores and Nintendo's digital storefront the eShop. Additionally, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will set you back $29.99 on Switch.

One footnote that I mentioned in the story yesterday regarding the leak dealt with whether or not THQ Nordic would opt to bring Darksiders II to Switch as well. As of this writing, that isn't planned to happen. Still, I'd have to wager a guess that if Warmastered Edition does well enough on the Switch then THQ could opt to bring the remastered version of Darksiders II--also known as the Deathinitive Edition--to the platform down the road. That remains to be seen, though.

Below is the official trailer to accompany today's announcement, although it's the exact same as the one we included in yesterday's story. If you'd rather not wait until April to play on Switch, Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is currently out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
