THQ Nordic Just Accidentally Revealed Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is Coming to Switch
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition is apparently coming to Switch, although THQ Nordic seems to have made the announcement a bit prematurely.
THQ Nordic has today revealed that the original Darksiders game will soon be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Or, well, they did reveal it before then quickly taking down the announcement trailer.
Earlier today, some folks discovered that a trailer for Darksiders: Warmastered Edition–the remastered version of the first game–appeared on THQ Nordic’s site for a bit before then quickly being removed. Apparently, the trailer was uploaded by accident and jumped the gun on the official announcement that THQ Nordic has planned. That page on the website now links to a “Nothing to See Here” GIF from the film The Naked Gun. You have to appreciate the self-awareness.
The revelation that Darksiders will be coming to Switch isn’t a surprising one whatsoever. THQ Nordic has seemingly been teasing this announcement for a bit now over on Twitter, so many expected it to happen sooner or later. As of this moment, we still don’t know how much Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will cost, when it will release, and whether or not the second game in the series will potentially be arriving on the platform as well. We’ll surely learn these specifics more once an official announcement is made, which you’d have to imagine will be soon. Since the cat is already out of the bag, no reason to not make a formal reveal in the very near future.
Until that time though, you can check out the trailer that leaked below. Thanks to Nintendo Everything for capturing it while it was still live.
