Darkstalkers Resurrection May Haunt the Wii U

It turns out that Darkstalkers Resurrection, a classy bundle including enhanced versions of Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge and Darkstalkers 3, has actually been in development for some time. Capcom’s Christian Svensson confirmed on the Unity Blog that the remake has been in development for a year already, and that the title has been in planning for longer that.

He also said that the online model for the Wii U was not very clear when development of Resurrection began and for this reason the title had not been announced for that platform. He finishes, though, by saying that the requests for a Wii U version have been “noted” and that “we’ll see”. Perhaps the game’s performance on Xbox 360 and PS3 will determine whether or not it gets released for the Wii U.

Darkstalkers Resurrection will be available sometime next year.
