Idea Factory International confirmed on their official site that the PS4 versions of Dragon Star Varnir and Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation will be censored in the west when compared to the original Japanese versions.

The company stated that "two CG scenes were modified" in both games, but that the Steam version Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation will not feature any changes. The company also indicated that the changes do not affect the gameplay in both Dragon Star Varnir and Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation.

As for Death end Re;Quest no changes have been announced. I must say it's quite weird the game managed to get past Sony's new censorship regulations just fine as it has similar sexual content to the other two. I haven't played Death end re;Quest myself yet though, so I'm not sure how exactly its scenes compare in that aspect with the other two censored titles.

Sony Interactive Entertainment's new policy came into light a few weeks ago, when Xseed Games announced a delay for the PS4 version of Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal, in order to remove the "Intimacy Mode" from the game. This policy has since impacted other Japanese titles, with Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation and Dragon Star Varnir being added to that list today.

All three games simultaneously received new trailers and release date estimates during Idea Factory's 5th Annual Press Event, along with Arc of Alchemist.

Dragon Star Varnir will be out in "Spring 2019". Date A Live: Rio Reincarnation is planned for "Summer 2019". Death end re;Quest will be out on February 22th.
