After launching into its Founder’s Alpha phase earlier this month, developer Phoenix Labs announced that its co-op action RPG Dauntless would be entering into Closed Beta on September 1, which just happens to be today. To coincide with this next stage of Dauntless beginning, Phoenix Labs released a short new trailer today to promote the Closed Beta.

Jesse Houston, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Dauntless at Phoenix Labs spoke a bit about the game’s transition to Closed Beta while also talking about what the Founder’s Alpha provided for him and the rest of the team. Houston said the following:

The Founder’s Alpha has been an inspirational experience for everyone here at Phoenix Labs. We’ve been collaborating with community, iterating on feedback, and improving Dauntless every day. Dauntless is a living game that we’ll be continuing to evolve, grow and expand through Closed Beta, Open Beta and beyond. Today’s Closed Beta launch marks the beginning of an amazing  journey we’ll be taking with the Dauntless community for years to come.

If you’re interested in gaining access to the Closed Beta as it begins today, then you’ll need to head over to the Dauntless website and purchase one of the game’s Founder’s packs. After doing this, you will immediately be eligible to jump into the Beta as soon as it goes live later today at 12:00PM PT.

In addition, if you happen to be at PAX West 2017 this weekend in Seattle, be sure to swing by the Phoenix Labs booth to try out the Dauntless Beta for yourself. Those who conquer the portion of the game that’s playable will be given access to the Closed Beta and can also earn a variety of other prizes.

If you would like to check out the new trailer for Dauntless that launched today, then you can find it below. For those who are still waiting for the game’s full release, Dauntless is scheduled to launch as a free-to-play title exclusively on PC later this year.
