Day Z Is Getting Some New Updates, Including Farming/Gardening?

There are two updates rolling out soon for the Day Z standalone. The game which is in alpha, and has been available on Steam for a while now, is often updated to fix bugs and add new features.

Update 0.48 will come on August 13th, and will offer fixes for issues with containers, world chat, melee combat hit marking, and camera issues. This kind of update is really just a quick fix for a few of the problems players have noticed during testing.

Sometime before the end of August, the real update, 0.49, is supposed to drop with its own fixes. I say “real update” because it also comes with a new feature. The new feature will allow survivors who decide that the can of beans in their bag isn’t going to cut it, to farm and plant food.

In a game where you can starve and pass out and then get handcuffed by a weird naked guy playing “Milk Shake”, being able to make your own food should be pretty helpful.

One of the few Anime Nerds that won't scare you off during a conversation. A gamer that is, and has always been open to trying new experiences regardless of the resolution or company behind the game. You may think that you enjoy fighters, but this guy has played them all & still spends his time looking for more. Whether he's fighting pink stretchy aliens as Goku, battling reanimated ninjas as Naruto, or warding off swarms of hollowed soldiers as the Chosen Undead, this gamer loves to take the role of the hero in any genre.
