Days Gone has become an excellent selling title for Sony Bend. The game received pretty mixed reviews depending on who you ask, but our own Racheal Fiddis thoroughly enjoyed it. Well, according to a member of the development team's LinkedIn profile, the studio might have entered pre-production on its next title.

Jeremy Vickery led the lighting team for Sony Bend during the development of Days Gone. Over on his LinkedIn profile, he stated that he is “now involved in the pre-production planning for our next title”.

Could this possibly mean that the studio is hard at work at a sequel? Or is the studio moving on to another project? What I find even more interesting is that this will definitely be a PS5 product. Days Gone was already an incredibly pretty game so I am looking forward to seeing what the studio can do with the new tech.

What would you like to see? Personally, I think they should take another crack at their vision and follow up on their latest game with a sequel. Sony Bend has learned what worked and what didn't work with Days Gone and can vastly improve upon the mechanics and everything that makes a video game great. Naughty Dog did it when it went from Uncharted to Uncharted 2. Why can't Sony Bend?
