During its PlayStation Live broadcast from the show floor at E3 2017, Sony Interactive Entertainment and SCE Bend Studio showcased some new gameplay footage of the upcoming survival horror action-adventure Days Gone.

Days Gone is set in a post-apocalyptic open world two years after a pandemic killed almost all of humanity and turned millions into zombie-like creatures named freakers.  The player steps in the boots of protagonist Deacon St. John as he tries to survive in this unforgiving environments.

The video shows different footage from what we saw yesterday at the press conference, with the player taking a completely different approach leading him to avoid an ambush, and to encounter different weather and time of day conditions, which in turn change the behavior of the freakers.

If you want to see more, you can also check out a lovely batch of screenshots.

If you're wondering about Days Gone's release date, it still doesn't have one, and the good folks at Sony Bend are keeping their cards close to their chest. During an interview yesterday, they just said that they aren't ready to announce a launch date, but they're working "very hard" to finish the game.
