PlayStation’s Days of Play Event Returning in June with a Limited Edition PS4

PlayStation's Days of Play event is arriving on June the 8th until June the 18th 2018. A brand new limited edition console is also up for grabs.

PlayStation will be bringing their Days of Play event back next month, bringing not only eleven days of deals, but also a limited edition Days of Play console and controller.

Days of Play will be taking place from the 8th of June until the 18th of June 2018 with deals on PS4 exclusive titles, hardware, and peripherals.

Here’s a list of the hardware and peripheral discounts taking place during the Days of Play event.:

  • Jet Black PS4 Pro – $349.99 USD / $449.99 CDN
  • PlayStation VR bundles – starting at $199.99 USD / $249.99 CDN
  • DualShock 4 wireless controller (all colors) – $39.99 USD / $49.99 CDN
  • PlayStation Move motion controller (2 pack) – $79.99 USD / $99.99 CDN
  • PlayStation VR Aim controller (US only) – $49.99 USD
  • Catalog titles – check with your local retailer

There will also be discounts on some of the biggest PS4 and PS VR titles:

  • God of War: $49.99 USD / $59.99 CDN
  • Gran Turismo Sport: $19.99 USD / $29.99 CDN
  • Horizon Zero Dawn: $19.99 USD / $29.99 CDN
  • MLB The Show 18: $39.99 USD / $49.99 CDN
  • Shadow of the Colossus: $19.99 USD / $29.99 CDN

The Days of Play limited edition PS4 console with a 1TB hard drive will be launching on the 8th of June when the event begins. It’s decorated with the Days of Play blue color theme and has the iconic PlayStation symbols on the face in gold.

It will also come with two Dualshock 4 wireless controllers with the PlayStation symbols over the touchpad. It’ll be priced at 299.99 USD / $379.99 CDN (MSRP) during the event. Take a look at the console and controller below.

Deputy President and Head of Global Sales & Marketing Jim Ryan also accompanied the announcement with a statement:

The PlayStation Store will also be offering promotions on popular games and network service memberships, here’s the list:

  • PlayStation Plus – $49.99 USD / $59.99 CDN for a 12-Month PS Plus membership
  • PlayStation Vue (available in the US only) – $10 USD per month off the Core plan standard price for the first two months ($44.99 USD per month thereafter)
  • PlayStation Store catalog titles

The event is also taking place in Europe, and the discounts for the eleven days there are:

  • PS VR Starter Pack with additional software bundle €249.99 RRP

Back in April, we learned that PlayStation Plus subscribers had passed 34.2 million, and in May at Sony’s corporate strategy meeting President and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida stated plans to further expand the PlayStation Network.

Don’t forget, this event will take place on the 8th of June and ends on the 18th of June 2018.
