DayZ Experimental PC Update - July 30

CHANGED

  • It is no longer possible to query for the player list through Steam

As you can see, it's a very small update that prevents players to query for the player list from Steam. It's yet to be seen whether it's been removed to fix a bug, but the developer has asked players to provide feedback on the new change.

What is DayZ?

DayZ is a survival and adventure game where you will be dropped into an unforgiving, post-apocalyptic environment with other players and infected people. The ultimate goal of the game is to survive as long as you can and overcome all the difficulties of a lonely adventure in the wilderness.

At first, DayZ was a mod for Arma 2, but its popularity forced Bohemia Interactive to make it a standalone game. The game was launched later in 2013 as an early access project and released as a full game five years later in 2018, followed by a console launch in 2019.

Despite being a full title now, DayZ still needs improvement and continuous support from the developers similar to every other multiplayer game.

Unlike other multiplayer titles, DayZ is not a season-based game, and big new content drops when it's ready.

DayZ is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can play the game for free.
