It's time to get those capes ready (unless you're part of the Minutemen. Then please do not wear a cape). DC FanDome, a free 24-hour virtual convention featuring the latest announcements from the DC universe, begins on August 22.

The all-digital convention will include special programming, panels, and reveals from TV series, film, and video games set in the many worlds in DC's repertoire. It will support several languages, including Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.

The virtual convention will be set in the DC FanDome with 6 different sections. The center is the Hall of Heroes, where you will find all of DC's announcements. The other sections will feature activities for fans to engage in, as well as a section dedicated to kids.

“There is no fan like a DC fan. For more than 85 years, the world has turned to DC’s inspiring heroes and stories to lift us up and entertain us, and this massive, immersive digital event will give everyone new ways to personalize their journey through the DC Universe without lines, without tickets and without boundaries," says Ann Sarnoff, Chair and Chief Executive Officer at Warner Bros. "With DC FanDome, we’re able to give fans from around the world an exciting and unparalleled way to connect with all their favorite DC characters, as well as the incredible talent who bring them to life on the page and screen.”

DC FanDome will begin on August 22, at 10 am PDT.

This may finally be the date we see something substantial from the new Batman game. Back in September last year, WB Games Montreal began teasing an upcoming project for the lauded action franchise; the teases continued in January. All of the hints seem to be alluding to a Batman story based on Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's "Court of Owls" storyline from 2011.
