The first trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet is out, showing some games modes and the girls, including newcomer Misaki, one of the new girls featured in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation. The previously teased mysterious character in the game wasn't revealed yet, however.

The trailer also shows the PS4's version VR mode and the Switch version's "Soft 4D", which allows players to feel various things through the Joy-Cons's HD Rumble.

The official site was also updated with new information on VR mode. The VR Passport, required to unlock VR mode, will be available for free on the Japanese PS Store from March 20 to April 2, 2019. Moreover, in VR mode on PS4 Pro specifically, the girls' facial expressions will be even more detailed compared to other game modes.

You can read all about Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet's specifics here. In my opinion, the most important piece of information is how the Switch version will be getting a free-to-play version a bit after release, similar to what Koei Tecmo did with previous games like Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. I think most people interested in Scarlet are already playing Venus Vacation and already own Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Fortune, so you might want to grab Scarlet's free-to-play version on Switch instead of spending more money. More details on the Free-to-Play version will be coming later.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet releases in Japan on March 20.
