If you’re a Dead or Alive fan, you probably already know that tomorrow is a special day: it’s Helena’s birthday and Koei Tecmo’s Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation is celebrating.

First of all, we get a new trailer featuring the beautiful DOATEC boss sporting her SSR swimsuit as she is her usual charming self.

In order to celebrate, the game is also getting a new Helena-themed gacha, with a 1.10% chance to get the swimsuit mentioned above… Which yeah, is pretty bad. Yet, considering that Koei Tecmo got away with seven season passes for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round and they’re still milking it even after the official end of DLC support, this is pretty much par for the course.

An additional caveat is that you can use the gacha only with paid V Stones, as those you get simply for playing the game are in a different pool, and they’re not valid here. Looks like Helena wants a proper birthday gift, and the thought isn’t enough this time around.

If you do want to spend the money, at least you’re also getting a bonus birthday cake that you can then turn around to Helena herself for an XP boost. I don’t know about you, but while I share a deep appreciation for Helena, I’m steering very clear from this one and sticking with a heartfelt “happy birthday!”

You can check out the trailer below. If you want to see more about Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, you can check out another recent update that added the new heroine Luna.

If you want to play the game on your PC (it’s only in Japanese but it’s fairly easy to understand) you can learn how to in our handy guide.
