Dead by Daylight is about to get a lot scarier. In an announcement during The Game Awards 2018, it was revealed that a brand new chapter titled Darkness Among Us will be coming December 11th.

It was no surprise we were going to see dome Dead by Daylight news at The Game Awards 2018 -- in fact, developer Behaviour said as much earlier today:

The chapter turns Dead by Daylight on its head, making the main killer a human instead of something undead. You can check out the trailer here:

According to the press email:

The new survivor is Jeff Johansen, an artist with a heart of gold. He has a dark past but led a quiet, simple life until his father passed, leaving things to sort out. The action takes place in Ormond, Canada, once a small, remote ski town with idyllic slopes, turned obsolete. Mount Ormond is now a soulful, deforested graveyard where gangs and teenagers go looking for trouble. Some people believe that the mountain hides a bottomless hole from where no one can return…

Among other things, the new chapter will include:

  • 1 New Killer + Perks and Power — The Legion
  • 1 New Survivor + Perks—Jeff Johansen
  • 1 New Map—Mount Ormond Resort
  • 1 Exclusive Item—Jeff’s In the Shadow of Death shirt

As a bonus announcement (and one to definitely energize fans), the game is moving to dedicated servers. That transition will be finished by Summer 2019.

Even better, fans of the asymmetrical horror game can look for some good news in the next couple of months we are getting more news. A few days ago, they also teased an early 2019 announcement to debut new members of The Fog Whispers:
