The UK-based studio now has over 200 employees and still looks for veteran developers in various positions. Most recently, they have hired Simon bean, the former lead animator at Dumbaster Studios who has worked on Dead Island 2. Very excited to be starting a new position at Playground games today! 🙌
The remote onboarding will no doubt be a bit weird but really looking forward to the new challenge 💪 https://t.co/1GO1tufTwE

Microsoft is probably going to host a digital event in May to showcase its latest productions in various categories, including video games. Based on the rumors, Microsoft is planning to announce the new and cheaper model of its next-gen console, along with unveiling a small number of upcoming titles from its first-party studios. Also, the company may announce the acquisition of another studio if all the speculation around that turns out to be true. Recently, Microsoft trademarked “Series X” logo, assumed to be the official icon for Xbox Series X, while the company had already trademarked a similar “S” icon which should be the label for the rumored Xbox Series S.
Aside from Playground Games, The Initiative, 343 Industries, and Ninja Theory are the other teams of Xbox Game Studios that could possibly have some exciting surprises about their upcoming projects for the next Xbox.
Xbox Series X is set to be released in Holiday 2020 and Halo Infinite is the only confirmed launch title for the game so far. Judging by the hardware specs, the next Xbox is going to be the most powerful gaming console, compared to its main rival, PS5.
