The basic Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Core Fighters used to come with a price tag on Xbox One, but Koei Tecmo changed that today, making it available for free on Microsoft's console.

That said, the character selection has been brought in line with the Ps4 version, that was already free. While those who purchased Core Fighters on Xbox One before will retain the previous extended roster, if you get it now for free you'll have access only to Kasumi, Ayane, Ryu Hayabusa and Hayate.

That said, if the price tag on the stripped down version of the game turned you off, now you can give it a try without spending a dime.
