Despite being recently delayed out of its February release date and pushed into March, Koei Tecmo is still gearing up to give PS4 players of Dead or Alive 6 a chance to go hands-on with the fighting game as early as today.

As announced this morning, a beta for Dead or Alive 6 will be going live starting today, January 11, and will last until January 14 at 10 AM EST. Unfortunately for some, the beta will only be available on the PS4 platform, so those looking to play on Xbox One and PC have been spurned this time. Furthermore, you'll need to also be a PlayStation Plus subscriber in order to gain access to the beta.

As for what the beta will offer, Koei Tecmo says that five characters in total will be playable and will include Kasumi, Ayane, Hayate, Hayabusa, and newcomer Diego. All fights will take place at the DOA Colosseum with the only game mode being available that of the Online Versus mode. It's a rather straightforward beta for Dead or Alive 6 but it gives the developers a chance to prepare the game's servers for launch.

Even if you can't get in on this beta then don't fret, as Dead or Alive 6 will be out early this year on March 1 and will arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to get in on today's beta for yourself, you can click here to head over to the PlayStation Store and begin downloading now.
