Koei Tecmo Games has announced that they're pushing the release date of Dead or Alive 6 out of February and into March. The game will now be available worldwide on March 1, 2019. The delay is apparently due to the team's desire to further enhance and balance the overall game.

Yohei Shimbori, the Producer and Director of Dead or Alive 6 had this to say:

“The title's development is already near complete; however, we would like to take more time to further polish its balance, gameplay, and expressivity. In return for your patience, we commit to bringing you the best DEAD OR ALIVE gaming experience. I am truly sorry for the inconvenience caused by the release delay of DEAD OR ALIVE 6.”

While fans will have to wait just a couple of weeks longer for Dead or Alive 6 hopefully the extra time will allow for some worthwhile improvements that'll improve the overall quality of the title. With a wide variety of games releasing in early 2019 like Resident Evil 2, Jump Force, Kingdom Hearts III, Anthem, and more, I'm personally not too distraught over the delay. February 15, the day Dead or Alive 6 was originally supposed to release on, is also quite crowded, with Metro Exodus, Crackdown 3, Jump Force, and Far Cry New Dawn launching on that day.

Dead or Alive 6 will be launching on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and can be pre-ordered on Amazon. To make the wait all the easier, Koei Tecmo does plan on releasing a demo for the upcoming fighter so expect that soon.
