Dead or Alive 6 Final DLC to Launch Next Month With Upcoming Patch
Announced by Koei Tecmo, Dead or Alive 6 will receive its final DLC in mid-April as part of the upcoming v1.22 patch update.
Koei Tecmo announced the Dead or Alive 6 final DLC will launch alongside an upcoming patch in mid-April.
In the next patch, simply titled “v1.22,” Dead or Alive 6 will add “High Society Costumes” and “School Uniforms” to its giant list of DLC. Like typical patch updates, bug fixes will also be implemented in the game. After this, there will be no more add-on content added to the popular fighting game. However, features like online matches, rankings, and the store will still be available for players to use. You can check out all the details in a tweet from the official Dead or Alive account below.
For those who still play Dead or Alive 6, the “v1.21” patch was updated today. According to the notes, the hair color change system was rehauled allowing players to unlock “hair color change” permanently for any hairstyle and will include all colors. As such, all Premium Tickets spent on hair colors prior to this update will be refunded.
The announcement of the final DLC comes only a year after its release. Personally, it’s pretty wild to see a developer stop supporting a fighting game only after a year. Especially when games like Street Fight 5, Tekken 7, and Dragon Ball FighterZ still maintain a faithful community years after release.
Dead or Alive 6 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There is a free-to-play version called Core Fighters. While it only includes four fighters, you will have access to a variety of modes.
You can check out our review where Tomas Franzese said, “Even if the series may have meandered so far this gen, Dead or Alive 6 makes great and accessible strides for the series on current-gen consoles, only being held back by the story’s awkward presentation and a lackluster online experience at launch.”
