Yesterday, DualShockers spent an afternoon at Team Ninja’s headquarters in Tokyo, talking with the development team about all things Dead or Alive 6.

We had a long chat with Director and Producer Yohei Shimbori, Art Director and Scenario Writer Yutaka Saito, and Technical Expert Taku Sugawara, going in a deep dive into the development process and philosophy of the upcoming fighting game.

All that information will come your way in an extensive series of articles starting at the beginning of next week, including the ins and outs of the new engine, the story mode, the characters, and much more.

Speaking of characters, the development team delivered a tease, and you can see it just below. While the artwork is charming in itself, and you won’t see most of it anywhere else for a while, there are a few hints to returning characters that have not been announced yet. Can you guess who they are?

If you want to see more of the game, Koei Tecmo revealed a trailer and a few images at Tokyo Game Show. An event dedicated to the game named Dead or Alive Festival 2018 has also been announced and will happen on November 18th.

You should also not forget to read our previous interview with Producer and Director Yohei Shimbori himself.

Dead or Alive 6 will release worldwide on February 15th, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. You can already pre-order it on Amazon.
