It's been a while since we got an update on Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet. While we are filled to the brim on updates for the (terrific looking) Dead or Alive 6, it seems like Xtreme 3 Scarlet often gets the backseat. Luckily, we got a terrific new trailer highlighting series favorites, Honoka and Marie, working on various beach-side activities.

Seen in the playful trailer below, we first get a glimpse in a variety of different costumes and activities. The first is a pool-float jumping mini-game that has her bouncing her way across the DualShock 4 themed obstacles in cat costume with tail and ears. We get a quick profile about Marie and then a slideshow of different costumes: one piece bathing suit, two-piece French cuts, and her more iconic schoolgirl outfits.

Following that, we get a nice peek at Honoka. Also age 18, Honoka sports some school gear, lacey bathing suits, a cow-themed one piece. Even better, we get some scrubbing and stretching exercises to accentuate some of the physics-based assets. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It's unclear, but it appears that this trailer seems to be the PS4 version of the game -- versus the Nintendo Switch port, which will have notable differences. For those wondering what those differences are, the Nintendo Switch version will include the 3D Soft Engine and HD Rumble for the Joy-Con controllers. Meanwhile, the PS4 version of the game will include PSVR features like VR Paradise (which will require an extra pass).

Speaking of, the game's first trailer actually highlighted the VR mode though notably stepped away from the previously teased "mysterious character." But we did get to see Misaki in action in all her glory. However, Koei Tecmo did give us a brief peak that Leifang would be included in Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet in a post earlier this month.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet releases in Japan on March 20 for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. The Marie and Honoka trailer can be seen below, for anyone interested in possibly importing the game. Or, of course, we can keep our fingers crossed that the game will find its way over to the West (however unfortunately unlikely that may be):
