Koei Tecmo announced on May 30 that the Switch trial version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet is now available. Titled Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet -Basic Free Edition-, this trial version was announced along with the main game itself but didn't have much more info on it until today.

This trial version of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet only has Kasumi unlocked, and you can play the game's activities, the Owner Mode, and the Photo mode.

Other characters can be bought separately as DLC for 1296 Yen including Tax, and the Casino mode can be bought for 2000 Yen excluding tax. There are multiple swimsuits and costumes as paid DLC too.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet -Basic Free Edition- can be found on the Japanese Nintendo Eshop. To download it, you'll need to change your Nintendo account's region to Japanese, or else the download button won't appear.

At the same time, Koei Tecmo also announced new swimsuit costumes in Dead or Alive Xtreme Venus Vacation. These celebrate the one-month anniversary of the launch of the browser version of the game. It adds a gacha with SSR costumes for all the girls except brand new character Kanna. The announcement trailer is included below.

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Scarlet is available on PS4 and Switch, with the game's Asian versions including an English translation. Seeing Asian regions don't have their own Nintendo Eshop, (though a limited, uncomplete HK one recently launched), the only way to get the Basic Free Edition is through the Japanese Eshop. You can later put the game in English in the options though.
