Today DMM and Koei Tecmo released the update of their PC game Dead Or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation that was teased over the past couple of days.

The most relevant addition is certainly Luna, a rather self-absorbed "scholar" who has come to the island to investigate its secret. With her passion for baked sweet potatoes, her constant hunger (for food, what are you thinking?!), and her bunny-like demeanor (including the "pyon" onomatopeia in her speech, which in Japan indicates a bunny hopping), she is certainly a bit of a weirdo.

In order to get her, you have two ways. You can either cave and try the special gacha that includes SSR swimsuit that can unlock her with a higher (still terrible, since it's a 0.43%) drop rate, but this is reserved to those using crystals purchased with real money. Luckily the swimsuit is also available in the normal gacha that you can try simply by grinding. Unfortunately, the odds here are the usual SSR fare, which is an ungodly 0.1%. Good luck with that. I had quite a few crystals saved but got no luck. At this point, I'd definitely advise waiting, because the swimsuit will certainly get into special gachas with better odds down the line. I'm saying this for your sanity.

That being said, there is good news even for those who don't want to spend a dime. In order to celebrate the new event, we get an additional login bonus culminating with a stopwatch item and including the miko outfit that was pretty easy to miss unless you grinded the new year event really hard.

This is on top of the usual daily login bonuses.

An in-game event titled "Messenger from the Moon" has also been implemented, letting you play quite a lot of new easy matches in order to grab more crystals that you can then use to try your luck at getting Luna. Rewards for the event include shool-style swimsuit in black and red, ruby earrings, a scuba diving mask accessory, a bracelet, swimsuit level-up crystals, and a card for Luna's "Random" pose.

Further miscellaneous updates include a swimwear lock feature, a much-needed info display for pose cards (showing how many you already have and which girls you gave them to), and a new jungle stage, that can also be used as a photo spot. It can be unlocked in the venus store.

If you want to see Luna in action, you can also check out her opening cutscene directly from Koei Tecmo.

If you want to actually play the game on your PC (it’s only in Japanese but it’s fairly easy to understand) you can learn how to in our handy guide.
