Dead Space 2 Demo Dated

By Kenneth Richardson

December 8, 2010

Dead Space 2, sequel to the acclaimed sci-fi horror TPS Dead Space, is one of next year’s most anticipated titles. EA has confirmed the release date for the demo of their upcoming blockbuster to be December 21st. This leaves approximately five weeks until the game’s January 25th launch, which is a pretty sharp tactic as executive producer Steve Papoutsis explains:

“Releasing the demo five weeks before launch will not only reconnect players with our hero Isaac Clarke, but will also give them the opportunity to experience firsthand various jaw-dropping scenarios. It’s gonna be awesome.”

The demo is scheduled to release on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 the same day via Xbox Live and PSN respectively, but there is no mention of a PC demo. The game will be available for the PS3, 360 and PC when it drops next month.
