Just announced today at Comic-Con 2010 are two new products coming out of the Dead Space franchise. Dead Space Aftermath is a full length animated feature that depicts the events that occurred during the first-responder mission to Aegis VII. This feature tells the story of how the Government knowingly sends a crew to get exposed to the Maker Shards trying to create a “Maker blueprint” carrier. The other product, Dead Space Salvage, is a graphic novel that tells the tale of a group of rogue miners who come across the decrepit USG Ishimura. These rogues, the Magpies, believe they have come upon quite a find. It turns out that the situation could not be worse with the Government trying to reclaim the Ishimura and necromorphs reanimating across the ship. Both of these will be available winter 2010 as part of a “pre-launch” campaign for Dead Space 2 which is set to release January 25, 2011. For more information on Dead Space 2 click here.
