When a game goes gold, it means that it is officially completed and has been approved by the likes of Microsoft and Sony to be published on their respective platforms.The upcoming remake was announced back at the EA Play Live event on July 22nd, 2021. The short teaser trailer revealed that the returning horror game would be released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Motive Studios confirmed that Dead Space would be completely rebuilt from the ground up to "offer a deeper and more immersive experience."Motive also revealed that the Dead Space remake would harness the power of the Frostbite game engine and next-generation of consoles, bringing incredible visual fidelity and plenty of improvements to gameplay, whilst also staying true to the original title that was released back in 2008 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Back in September, new details emerged confirming that the Dead Space Remake would be one sequential shot with no loading screens unless the player dies.
