Dead Star to Lose its Multiplayer Servers November 1; Removed From Steam and PlayStation Store

Armature Studios has revealed that Dead Star’s multiplayer severs will shut down on November 1.

In an email to Kotaku, Jack Matthews -Director of Operations at Armature – gave the following reason for the game’s sever shut down:

“We are shutting down the game because, bluntly, the costs of operating the game now exceed its income. This decision was not taken lightly internally, and was extremely sad to me personally. Armature put a lot of time, love and studio resources into both the game and the community, and we are extremely grateful to our community for their support in keeping this going as long as it could. This is purely a financial decision to ensure the best possible future for Armature Studio.”

Dead Star was available for PC and PS4, but has since been delisted from Steam and the PlayStation Store.
