The PS Vita may not be to the taste of all gamers, but the latest round of price-cuts by UK retailer Tesco should be more than enough to tempt those with a passing interest in Sony's latest handheld console.

UK retailer Tesco is currently willing to let you walk out of their stores with a brand new original model PS Vita for just £49.99 - almost five times cheaper than when it first arrived on retailers shelves.

However, before you embark on your hunt for best deal of the year (century?) be warned: they're not easy to find. It may be worth giving your local store a call to see if they have any in stock before making the trek their, lest you be greeted with disappointment. Still, their bakery is pretty good.

After a quick chat with a friend who works in Tesco, there are some in stock... In North Wales. Is the petrol money worth the drive? Probably.
